Sign Up Now for the 2025 Georgetown County Veterans Day Parade
October 28, 2025Mark your calendars to come out Tuesday afternoon, November 11 at 2:00 pm the annual Georgetown County Veterans Day Parade. Sponsored by American Legion Post 114 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6444, this event is a time to express our appreciation and gratitude for the brave men and women who have served our country and fought for our freedoms through their military service.
“Our veterans are forever grateful when they are remembered on this special day,” said Peggy Baldwin, one of the parade organizers. “We are grateful for those willing to participate and look forward to a strong turnout on Tuesday, November 11th.”
With schools observing a half-day and many offices closed for the holiday, organizers are hoping for a good turn-out – both in terms of parade participants and observers. If you are a business, civic club, patriotic organization, church or other group, please consider decorating a float, truck, golf cart or vehicle in red, white and blue with a Thank You sign to show your support for our wonderful veterans.
There is no entry fee to enter into the parade, and set up for the parade begins at 1:00 pm at East Bay Park. The deadline to enter is Friday, November 8.
