Clinton Community Garden Project Announces New Date for “Gathering in the Garden” Celebration

October 28, 2025

The Clinton Community Garden Project has announced that its annual “Gathering in the Garden” celebration has been rescheduled for Tuesday, November 4, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Clinton Community Garden on South Bell Street, across from Friendship AME Church. The date change comes in response to anticipated inclement weather on the original date.

This free community event celebrates the season’s harvest and honors the dedicated volunteers who nurture the garden throughout the year. Guests will enjoy a complimentary dinner prepared by Chef Robert, as well as an evening of food, fellowship, and fun.

Free health screenings will be provided by Prisma Health and Presbyterian College, including blood-pressure checks, diabetes and blood-sugar testing, flu vaccines, and other services.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, live music will be performed by Soul Intent, a popular Upstate band known for its soulful, crowd-pleasing sound. The event will also include games, crafts, and raffle prizes for all ages.

“This celebration is our way of thanking the community for their support and participation,” said Jamie Adair, Board Chair of the Clinton Community Garden Project. “We look forward to welcoming everyone on the new date for an evening that truly brings people together around food, health, and community spirit.”

The Clinton Community Garden Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to planting, cultivating, and growing both healthy food and healthy communities across Laurens County.
