The City of Columbia Parks & Recreation Department holds ribbon cutting for new Randall Avenue Park playground equipment
October 30, 2025The City of Columbia is holding a ribbon cutting on Saturday, November 1 at 10:00 a.m. for the official opening of a new community park and playground facilities on Randall Avenue. The ribbon cutting will take place at the entrance to the park at 5103 Randall Avenue, 29203.
The new playground was funded by a community development block grant, and features a swing set and playground system for children ages 5-12 years old. Additional amenities include a green space, picnic shelter, fencing, park benches and picnic tables, which were previously installed during the summer of 2024.
Attending will be Mayor Daniel Rickenmann, District 1 Councilwoman Tina Herbert, City Manager Teresa Wilson, Assistant City Manager Henry Simons, Eau Claire community representatives and Parks & Recreation representatives.
