City of Columbia announces closure of Assembly Street between Catawba Street and Whaley Street

The Southern Commercial Development, LLC and Norfolk Southern Rail will be closing Assembly Street, between Catawba Street and Whaley Street starting on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at 2:00 a.m. and is set to re-open Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. for railroad track repairs.

Please note that any/all dates are subject to change due to weather and/or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorist should anticipate extended travel times and delays.  Please avoid this closure area if at all possible.
