Sunny Meadow Boutique Invites the Community to Help Grow Its Canned Food Christmas Tree

November 14, 2025

Sunny Meadow Boutique owner Shannon Walker is spreading holiday cheer with a creative twist on giving back — a “Canned Food Christmas Tree” that’s growing right in the shop window on the Laurens Square. What began as a few donated cans has quickly become a heartfelt community effort, and Walker is inviting everyone to help the little tree “blossom into something beautiful.”

All donated items will go directly to the Wayside Baptist Church Food Pantry, which serves families in need right here in Laurens County. “Each can makes a difference,” said Walker. “It’s such a simple way to give back, and it’s been wonderful to see our customers get excited about helping others.”

How It Works:
Donate 3 canned goods or boxed food items — receive 10% off
Donate 6 or more items — receive 15% off
Discount valid same day only. Excludes gift cards and prior purchases.

Donations can be dropped off anytime the boutique is open, and customers can watch as the canned food tree continues to grow throughout the holiday season.
