Bon Secours kicks off 2025 Festival of Trees
November 20, 2025Annual Holiday Event to Benefit Cardiovascular Program
Bon Secours St. Francis announced the return of a cherished Upstate holiday tradition – the 40th Annual St. Francis Festival of Trees. The event will officially kick off this Friday, November 21, 2025.
For four decades, families across the Upstate have made the Festival of Trees part of their holiday celebrations, strolling among beautifully decorated trees that capture the spirit and magic of the season. This year, 101 spectacularly decorated trees will be on display at two beloved downtown Greenville hotels – the Hyatt Regency on North Main Street and the Courtyard Marriott on West Broad Street. That’s more trees than ever before, marking the first year the event has ever sold out.
Each tree is sponsored by a local business, organization, or school and decorated by volunteers. The proceeds from those sponsorships benefits a different program or cause each year. For 2025, money raised will support the William Carpenter Heart Fund. This will allow Bon Secours St. Francis Health System to continue providing the very best in care and outcomes for patients within the cardiovascular service line. Through the Festival of Trees, funds will be raised to provide new equipment and meet other needs as they arise.
“The St. Francis Festival of Trees is more than just a holiday event – it’s a symbol of community, compassion, and care,” said Erik Whaley, president of the Bon Secours St. Francis Foundation. “We’re grateful to our sponsors and the many individuals who help make this event possible every year. With this being our 40th anniversary, it’s even more meaningful to see our community come together to support health care initiatives that touch so many lives.”
Visitors can view the trees daily from November 21st through December 26th, free of charge. For more information, visit https://givebsmhgreenville.ejoinme.org/2025FestivalofTrees.
