November 20, 2025Annual fundraising campaign to benefit 20+ local non-profits
Inspired by Giving Tuesday®, Coastal Giving Tuesday was established locally in 2023 as a collaboration of nonprofit organizations throughout the coastal counties of South Carolina to raise awareness and support during International Giving Tuesday.
The 24-hour fundraising campaign begins at 12:01 am on Tuesday, December 2 and is helping more than 20 local on-profits in Georgetown and Horry Counties raise money to support their year-end fundraising goals.
“The powerful metaphor, ‘A rising tide lifts all boats’ explains the benefit of Coastal Giving Tuesday,” said Eric Spatz, Coastal Giving Tuesday Director. “The collaborative nature of the Giving Day benefits all participants in involved, from the smallest to the largest.”
In 2024, Coastal Giving Tuesday raised $359,170 total for 20 organizations in 24 hours. Their 2025 goal is $500,000!
Giving Tuesday®, scheduled for the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, is a global movement unleashing the power of radical generosity of giving. It is a day that encourages people to “do good” in their own community. Created in 2012, it has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity to support tens of thousands of non-profits worldwide.
