City of Charleston announces 2025 Holy City Holiday Park and Shop Pass: Two hours of free parking to support seasonal shopping downtown

The City of Charleston is pleased to announce the return of the Holy City Holiday Park and Shop Pass, offering residents two hours of free parking at select downtown garages during the 2025 holiday season. The pass will be valid from Wednesday, November 26 through Wednesday, December 31, 2025. 

Designed to support local businesses and make holiday shopping more convenient, the Holiday Park and Shop Pass can be used at the following four participating garages:

• Saint Philip Street Garage – 34 Saint Philip Street
• Visitor Center Garage – 63 Mary Street
• Majestic Square Garage – 211 King Street
• Queen Street Garage – 93 Queen Street

These garages were selected based on robust participation in years past and their centralized locations near retail and restaurants.

How It Works:

1. Pull a parking ticket upon entering one of the participating garages.
2. When exiting, insert the ticket into the payment machine.
3. After inserting the ticket, scan the voucher’s QR code at the reader located in the upper right-hand corner of the machine.
4. As the voucher covers up to two hours of parking, any remaining balance due beyond that time will be displayed and must be paid before exiting.

If assistance is needed, users may press the blue call button located at the top of the machine to speak with garage staff.

Additional Details

• The Holiday Park and Shop Pass is not valid during special event rates.
• Other exclusions may apply.
