Matt Foss nominated as 7th Circuit Representative for South Carolina Bar Young Lawyers Division

Langley Law Firm announced that attorney Matt Foss has been nominated as the 7th Circuit Representative for the Young Lawyers Division (YLD) of the South Carolina Bar Association for the 2026–2027 term.

The Young Lawyers Division serves as an important voice for early-career attorneys across South Carolina, providing leadership development, professional education, and opportunities for service that strengthen both the legal profession and the communities it serves. Circuit representatives play a key role in connecting attorneys within their judicial circuits to the broader work of the YLD and the South Carolina Bar.

Matt’s nomination reflects his ongoing commitment to professional service, leadership, and engagement within the legal community. As 7th Circuit Representative, he will help represent young lawyers in Laurens, Spartanburg, Cherokee, and Union counties, advocating for their interests and encouraging meaningful participation in Bar programs and initiatives.

Under the South Carolina Bar’s nominating procedures, the slate of officers and circuit representatives will become final on January 1, 2026, if no petitions are filed. If confirmed, Matt will serve during the 2026–2027 term.
