American Legion Post 25 Kicks Off the New Year by Completing Roof Replacement for Local Disabled Veteran
January 6, 2026Members of American Legion Post 25 are starting the new year by putting service into action, recently completing a roof replacement for a disabled veteran in the community who was in urgent need of assistance.
The project reflects the Legion’s continued commitment to supporting veterans through hands-on service that makes a tangible difference. With the new roof now in place, the veteran’s home is safer and better protected, providing peace of mind during the winter months.
“This is exactly what the American Legion is about—taking care of our veterans and showing up when they need us,” said Kevin Farnsworth, Post Commander of American Legion Post 25. “We’re proud of our members for stepping up and grateful for the community partners who helped make this possible.”
Work is not slowing down for Post 25. Following the completion of the roof, Legion members are already planning their next service project: building a handicap-accessible ramp at the veteran’s home to improve safety and accessibility.
Post 25 also extended sincere thanks to Lowe’s for their generous support and assistance with materials for the roof replacement.
As the new year begins, American Legion Post 25 remains busy serving the community—continuing its mission to support veterans and make a meaningful impact close to home.
