5 Star Dental Academy grand opening

What: The City of Columbia announced the grand opening of 5 Star Dental Academy, a training program focused on preparing dental assistants for successful careers in the dental industry. Through classroom instruction and hands on simulations in a realistic office setting, the academy equips individuals with the skills needed for a fulfilling career. 5 Star Dental Academy also helps meet the growing demand for qualified dental assistants in the greater Columbia area by facilitating internships with local dental practices and offering job placement assistance upon course completion.
Cassandra Brown, owner of 5 Star Dental Academy, has over 20 years of experience in the dental industry. Ms. Brown has certifications and degrees in Health Care Management and Health Administration. She started as a dental assistant and worked up to an officer manager and regional manager, overseeing many dental offices. Based upon her experience, Ms. Brown has knowledge in what offices look for in a dental assistant and wants to provide her services while helping individuals excel at becoming great assets for their respective offices.
5 Star Dental Academy is located at 220 Stoneridge Drive Columbia, SC 29210 and will be open Monday-Thursday from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Classes will be held on either Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday, with three available time options: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., or 5:45 p.m. to 9:45 p.m.
