Funding available for septic owners within Congaree Creek Watershed in Lexington County

Lexington County residents in the Congaree Creek Watershed interested in applying for financial assistance to repair or replace their failing septic systems can email [email protected]. To be eligible for assistance, the septic system malfunction must be causing environmental concern.
Lexington County’s Congaree Creek Septic 319 Project can provide 60-80% cost share assistance to qualifying homeowners within the watershed for eligible septic system repairs or replacements to protect and improve water quality. More information about the grant is available at lcswc.com/water-quality-grants/. Limited funding is available and will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
Grant funding is provided through an award from the South Carolina Department of Environmental Services to protect water quality in the Congaree Creek Watershed. This project is being funded, in part, by the United States Environmental Protection Agency and made possible by SCDES.
