Novant Health’s South Carolina hospitals earn multiple Certified Zero Harm Awards

Novant Health’s South Carolina hospitals have again been recognized for their commitment to patient safety, earning multiple Certified Zero Harm Awards from the South Carolina Hospital Association in 2025. The awards honor hospitals that achieve extended periods without preventable patient harm and successful elimination of common medical errors.
“These awards reflect our team’s unwavering dedication to delivering safe, high-quality care every day,” said Monica Davis, director of clinical excellence and patient safety for the Novant Health South Carolina Region. “Zero harm is not just a slogan. It’s a promise to our patients, their families and our communities that we strive every day to create a safe hospital environment.”

Achieving these distinctions requires consistent teamwork, evidence-based practices and a transparent culture that prioritizes safety across every level of care. In addition, our hospitals earned three Zero Harm Priority Awards for Suicide Prevention and Maternal Health.
