January 27, 2026Lingering Ice and Sleet Create Hazardous Driving Conditions
While the winter precipitation continued to melt, a cold weather advisory is in effect for Greenville from 6 p.m. Monday through noon Tuesday.
Dangerously cold wind chills, as low as five to 10 degrees, are expected. Lingering ice and sleet on any untreated and secondary roads will refreeze tonight, leading to hazardous driving conditions. Those wind chills could result in hypothermia or frostbite if precautions are not taken.
