Columbia Connectors Selects The Therapy Place as 2026 Charity of the Year
January 28, 2026Columbia Connectors announced The Therapy Place as its official community charity partner for 2026. Each year, Columbia Connectors sponsors a local nonprofit that aligns with its mission of strengthening the Midlands through meaningful relationships, service, and impact. This year’s partnership reflects the organization’s continued commitment to supporting causes that make a tangible difference in the lives of local families.
“We are delighted to be working with such a unique organization, and as a few of our members are currently involved, we want to continue to spread awareness and foster community support,” said Jeff Lawler, Founder of the Columbia Connectors.
The Therapy Place is a Columbia-based nonprofit providing comprehensive pediatric therapy, therapeutic education, and family support for children with special needs and developmental delays across the Midlands. Through a collaborative model that includes physical, occupational, speech, and feeding therapies, intensive programs, and the Bridges Therapeutic School (PreK–5), The Therapy Place serves hundreds of children and families each year, regardless of a family’s ability to pay. By combining therapy, education, and real-world skill building under one roof, The Therapy Place empowers children to gain independence, supports families, and strengthens the community as a whole.
“Columbia Connectors’ dedication to creating positive, lasting impact in the Midlands is inspiring. We are honored to be chosen as their 2026 community charity partner and grateful for the opportunity to work together in support of local children and families,” said Dawn Darby, CEO of The Therapy Place.
Throughout the year, Columbia Connectors will support The Therapy Place through volunteer efforts, awareness campaigns, and event partnerships. The organization’s members will also have opportunities to engage directly with the nonprofit to further amplify its mission within the community.
Columbia Connectors believes that strong communities are built through collaboration, service, and intentional connection. This partnership with The Therapy Place represents a shared commitment to uplifting others and investing in the future of the Midlands.
