New Generation of Coffee: Crown and Bloom Coffee Co. Prepares for Valentine’s Day Grand Opening

February 1, 2026

The aroma of organic beans and small-batch syrups is officially set to fill the air on Academy Street in Simpsonville  as Crown and Bloom Coffee Co. prepares for its grand opening on Friday, February 14, 2026. The Valentine’s Day event marks a major milestone for the business as it transitions from its beloved 1967 vintage camper into a permanent brick-and-mortar home.

Located at 102 Academy Street, the new shop breathes new life into the former Simpsonville Fire Department administrative building. The owners, husband-and-wife duos Corey and Baylee Simpson along with Brantley and Shirley Bell, have transformed the nearly 2,000 square-foot space into a modern oasis that overlooks the Great Lawn at Gracely Park.

A Mission of Health and Hope For the ownership team, Crown and Bloom is more than just a place for a caffeine fix. The shop was built with a specific focus on allergen awareness and sustainability. The menu features exclusively organic coffee and organic, small-batch syrups, alongside a dedicated gluten-free dining program.

The Simpsons, who also own a mold testing company, emphasized that they wanted to create a safe haven for people with sensitivities. By partnering with Samantha Brown of The Clean Cupcake Co., the shop offers a variety of pastries, cookies, and scones that are entirely gluten-free.

Designed for the community, the interior of the shop reflects a clean, earthy aesthetic with a black-and-white palette accented by gold and eucalyptus. Understanding the needs of local families, the owners included a dedicated room where parents can relax while their children play, making it a natural fit for the many families who frequent the neighboring park.

The menu also caters to a wide audience with items such as: traditional espresso and tea offerings, house-made smoothies and grilled cheese for kids, sustainably-focused organic syrups, and signature compostable coffee pods for home use

While the brick-and-mortar location is now the central hub for the business, the owners have confirmed that the signature vintage camper will remain in operation for weddings and private events across the Upstate.

As Simpsonville continues its downtown revitalization, Crown and Bloom stands as a testament to the power of local entrepreneurship and community support. For those who followed the camper’s journey from pop-ups to a permanent storefront, the Valentine’s Day opening is a celebrated victory for the Golden Strip.
