LCSD 56: READY, SET, KINDERGARTEN! Registration Event Set for February 7

Families with rising 4K and 5K students are invited to kick off their child’s educational journey at the upcoming Ready, Set, Kindergarten! registration event on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. The event will be held in the gym at Clinton High School and is designed to make school registration a fun and welcoming experience for both parents and children.
The event offers families the chance to meet principals, teachers, and staff from each elementary school, helping parents and students begin building connections before the school year even starts. Representatives from Transportation, Food Services, and the District Office will also be on hand to answer questions and provide helpful information about daily school life.
Future students can enjoy games and hands-on activities that highlight just how fun learning can be, giving children a positive and exciting introduction to school.
Parents and guardians are asked to bring the following documents to complete registration:
• Official birth certificate
• Immunization record (if available)
• Medicaid card (if applicable)
• Two forms of verification of residence
• SNAP case number (if applicable)
• Custody papers (if applicable)
This event provides a one-stop opportunity for families to get their children registered, ask questions, and feel confident about the transition into preschool or kindergarten.
With smiling faces, helpful staff, and playful learning activities, Ready, Set, Kindergarten! is designed to help families get revved up for learning and start the school journey on the right foot.
