Free two-day community health clinic to be held in Greenville
February 5, 2026A free two-day, pop-up health clinic will provide comprehensive medical, dental, and vision services to community members at no cost.
The University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville (SOMG) will host its fourth annual Remote Area Medical (RAM) health clinic on February 14-15, 2026.
The event is organized by a volunteer team of medical students at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville and will be held at the school’s campus, 607 Grove Road, Greenville. The School of Medicine Greenville and Remote Area Medical (RAM)®, a Knoxville, Tennessee-based nonprofit that provides free, quality healthcare to those in need are teaming up to put together the annual clinic.
Since 2023, the free, pop-up clinic held annually by School of Medicine Greenville and RAM has served more than 700 community members, providing $500,000 worth of free care.
The University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville (SOMG) will host its fourth annual Remote Area Medical (RAM) clinic on February 14-15, 2026, at the SOMG campus located at 607 Grove Road. The free, two-day pop-up clinic will provide comprehensive medical, dental, and vision services to community members at no cost.
“Since launching South Carolina’s first full-scale RAM clinic in March 2023, SOMG medical students have served as the community host group for this vital healthcare initiative, organizing and coordinating the annual event to address critical healthcare gaps in the Upstate region,” said Dr. Jennifer Springhart, assistant professor and director of community engagement at SOMG.
The work of putting on a pop-up clinic takes a dedicated team of students at the medical school in partnership with the professionals with RAM. Prisma Health also partners in the clinic, providing facilities and physician volunteers who help provide free care.
