City of Simpsonville Announces Launch of Simpsonville Theatre Company
February 5, 2026The City of Simpsonville has announced the launch of the Simpsonville Theatre Company, a new community-focused performing arts organization dedicated to theatre education, youth development, and inclusive access to the arts.
Established in 2026 and based at the Simpsonville Arts Center, Simpsonville Theatre Company will begin with a strong emphasis on youth theatre and special-needs programming. The organization plans to offer productions, acting classes, and camps designed to create a welcoming and supportive environment for young performers and individuals of all abilities.
During its initial seasons, the company will prioritize youth theatre productions that emphasize learning, confidence-building, and collaboration while adapting performances to support diverse participants. Additional offerings will include acting classes, workshops, and camps centered on skill development, creativity, and personal growth, along with family-friendly programming aimed at strengthening community connection through the arts.
This phased approach allows Simpsonville Theatre Company to build a solid educational foundation while addressing a critical need within the community. As the program grows, plans are in place to expand offerings to include full-scale productions and acting classes for all ages.
“Simpsonville Theatre Company is rooted in the belief that theatre should be accessible, empowering, and community driven,” organizers shared. “By starting with youth and inclusive programming, we are laying the groundwork for a sustainable theatre organization that can grow alongside our community.”
Additional details regarding upcoming classes, camps, productions, and participation opportunities are expected to be announced in the coming months.
Simpsonville Theatre Company’s mission is to create community and inclusive theatre through education, storytelling, and performance.
