Helping Hands of Georgetown seeking help to restock its pantry shelves
February 11, 2026Helping Hands of Georgetown has made a community appeal to secure food and financial donations to support neighbors in need throughout Georgetown.
In a Facebook video posted earlier this week, Executive Director Brendon Barber said supplies have become increasingly low since the holidays, while those looking for food and utility assistance has steadily grown. He asked Georgetonians to help refill the pantry shelves with non-perishable food items and consider making monetary donations that will be used to help individuals struggling with higher utility bills due to the recent winter weather.
He encouraged folks to help spread the love this Valentines’ week not just with one’s significant other but also with our neighbors in need.
The pantry, located at 1813 Highmarket Street, is open on Thursday from 10 am – 2 pm. You can also make financial donations online through the website or call 843 – 527-3424 for more information about how you can assist Helping Hands.
