Local wild game feast returns for 18th annual ‘Cattails & Cocktails’
February 15, 2026The Georgetown County Historical Society will host its 18th annual Cattails & Cocktails event on Saturday, March 21, celebrating the region’s rich hunting and fishing traditions with a community feast.
The event, which runs from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Bobby Alford Center in East Bay Park, features a variety of local catches categorized as “Fin, Feathers, and Fur.” Prepared by local hunters and fishermen, the spread offers a unique taste of Lowcountry wild game and seafood.
In addition to the meal, attendees can participate in a silent auction and enjoy live music from the Black River Band. A cash bar will be available serving beer and wine.
Tickets are currently on sale and can be purchased for $30 for members or $35 for nonmembers and at the door. All proceeds benefit the Georgetown County Museum.
