Laurens County Republican Party to Host Gubernatorial Candidate Nancy Mace for Public Forum

February 18, 2026

With South Carolina’s Republican primary season already underway, the Laurens County Republican Party, in partnership with the Lakelands Young Republicans, continues its effort to give voters direct access to the candidates seeking office in 2026.

Local Republicans and community members are invited to attend a free public event on Tuesday, February 26, at The Ridge, 301 Exchange Drive in Laurens, featuring Congresswoman Nancy Mace, a candidate for South Carolina governor.

The event will run from 6:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m., with doors opening at 5:50 p.m. Congresswoman Mace will begin the evening by sharing her platform and vision for the state, followed by a question-and-answer session and an opportunity for attendees to meet the candidate. Refreshments will be provided.

The Laurens County Republican Party has hosted numerous candidates ahead of the June 9, 2026 Republican primary, emphasizing the importance of informed civic participation and voter engagement.

“We believe voters deserve the opportunity to hear directly from those seeking to lead our state,” said Valerie Jones, Chair of the Laurens County Republican Party. “By hosting these public forums, we’re helping citizens become informed voters who understand where each candidate stands on the issues that matter most to Laurens County and South Carolina.”

Organizers encourage all Republicans — and interested members of the public — to attend, learn about the candidates, and participate in the democratic process.

Community members are reminded that the event is free and open to the public, offering a convenient opportunity to hear from one of the state’s highest-profile candidates in a local setting.
