Clinton Family YMCA to Host 47th Annual Youth/Community Prayer Breakfast March 3–5

The Clinton Family YMCA will host its 47th Annual Youth/Community Prayer Breakfast from March 3 through March 5, 2026, at Broad Street United Methodist Church. Each morning’s program will begin at 7:00 a.m., continuing a long-standing tradition that brings together students, families, community leaders, and residents for a time of inspiration, reflection, and fellowship.

Over three days, attendees will hear from guest speakers representing ministry, athletics, and youth leadership, each sharing messages centered on faith, perseverance, service, and personal growth.

Tuesday, March 3 will feature Rev. Myron Wilkins, an ordained minister and nonprofit leader with more than 25 years of experience serving children, families, and communities in need. Born in Philadelphia, Wilkins holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work and has served in pastoral and leadership roles across the country. His work has focused on addressing poverty, homelessness, hunger, and family crisis through both ministry and social services. Wilkins currently leads the Thornwell ministry, emphasizing faith-centered service and community transformation. He and his wife, Anna, have three sons.

Wednesday, March 4 will highlight BJ Laughter, a veteran coach, mentor, and motivational speaker known for his decades of influence on student athletes. With more than 30 years in coaching and school leadership, Laughter has served as a high school football coach, athletic director, assistant principal, and principal. He was head football coach at Hendersonville High School for 17 years and currently serves on staff with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Laughter and his wife, Amy, have been married for 34 years and have one daughter, Emma.

Thursday, March 5 will feature Josiah Howard, a campus minister with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at Furman University and a North Greenville University football alumnus. Howard leads Bible studies, discipleship efforts, and leadership development among college students while pursuing a Master of Divinity in Missions at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He also serves as a LifeGroup leader at Mountain Creek Baptist Church and is passionate about equipping young people to live out their faith and serve their communities. He and his wife, Rheanne, are active in ministry together.

The annual breakfast series has become a cornerstone event for the Clinton community, offering an opportunity for people of all ages to gather early each morning for encouragement, connection, and shared purpose.

The event will be held at Broad Street United Methodist Church, located in Clinton, and is open to the community.
