St. Pat’s in Five Points’ official kick-off event postponed to Monday, March 2 due to inclement weather

Dyeing of the Five Points Fountain, Irish music, dance performances and family activities
Due to anticipated inclement weather, the Official Kick-Off to St. Pat’s in Five Points, presented by the Fountain Division of W.P. Law, Inc., has been postponed. The event will now take place Monday, March 2, from 5:30–6:30 p.m. at the Five Points Fountain at the Main Fountain Plaza in Five Points. Admission is free and open to the public.
The highlight of the evening will remain the annual ceremonial dyeing of the Five Points Fountain green — a tradition that officially signals the start of St. Pat’s season in Columbia.
This family-friendly celebration offers a festive preview of what’s to come at St. Pat’s in Five Points and will feature:
- Traditional Irish music by Palmetto Pipes & Drums
- Dance performances by Connick School of Irish Dance
- Face painting and balloon artistry by Ladybug’s Face Painting
- Games and crafts for children
- Music by DJ Kenya Spinz
- Peanuts available from Go‑N‑Nutz
