Tidelands Health named one of the nation’s top places to work in health care
February 26, 2026Tidelands Health has earned recognition as one of the Top 165 places in the nation to work in health care for 2026.
Becker’s Healthcare selected Tidelands Health to be part of its list of top places to work for the fourth consecutive year, highlighting the not-for-profit health system’s customizable total rewards benefits program, recognition platform and overall wellness resources for its 2,500 team members.
“This recognition is a credit to our exceptional team, which helps create a thriving working environment as we care for our patients and serve our community,” said Jeremy Stephens, executive vice president and chief human resources officer. “At Tidelands Health, we are proud to support and care for our team members’ overall well-being.”
Tidelands Health is one of only three health systems in South Carolina to earn a spot on the Becker’s list.
“The organizations featured on this list distinguish themselves as premier employers by supporting their teams in meaningful, holistic ways. From comprehensive wellness initiatives and professional growth opportunities to community engagement and cultures rooted in connection and balance, these workplaces are redefining what it means to thrive in healthcare,” Becker’s wrote in a news release announcing this year’s list.
In addition, Becker’s highlighted the health system’s innovative strategies to recruit additional team members to serve the growing Grand Strand region, including the Tidelands Health Scholars initiative guaranteeing jobs to high school graduates who complete the program and the Tidelands Health HGTC Education Center to train future nurses at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital.
