Egg My Yard Dorchester PAws
March 3, 2026Dorchester Paws “Egg My Yard” Fundraiser Returns to Surprise Lowcountry Families on Easter
This Easter, skip the stress and wake up to wonder. Dorchester Paws is bringing back its beloved “Egg My Yard” fundraiser, giving Lowcountry parents an easy way to create a magical Easter surprise while supporting homeless pets in need.
On the night before Easter—Saturday, April 4, between 7:30 p.m. and 11 p.m.—teams of dedicated volunteers will quietly visit participating homes across Summerville and surrounding communities to scatter candy-filled eggs throughout front yards. By morning, families can simply step outside and watch the excitement unfold. Families can select from three egg bundles:
- 50 eggs for $45
- 75 eggs for $60
- 100 eggs for $75
For an extra element of excitement, parents can add on a Golden Egg option. Each Golden Egg contains candy- except one special egg, which holds a $100 gift card prize, adding even more thrill to the hunt. All orders must be placed by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, March 29.
“Egg My Yard is one of our favorite fundraisers! It brings joy to families while directly supporting the animals in our care,” said April Howard, Executive Director of Dorchester Paws. “Proceeds from the fundraiser supports Dorchester Paws operations including daily care and medical treatment for thousands of animals each year.”
Proceeds from the event go directly toward feeding, housing, and treating the thousands of animals who rely on Dorchester Paws annually. Parents can feel good knowing their Easter surprise is also giving abandoned and homeless pets a second chance.
The event is available to residents within a 30-mile radius of the shelter, including: Summerville, Mount Pleasant, Daniel Island, Charleston, North Charleston, James Island, West Ashley, and Johns Island.
Spots fill quickly each year. Families can reserve their Easter yard visit at: https://givebutter.com/egg-my-yard-2026
