Camden International Day of Happiness – March 20

The Camden community will come together on Friday, March 20, 2026, to celebrate the International Day of Happiness with a special event hosted by The Happiness Health Connection and its owner, Monica Vidal, at Rectory Square.

Established by the United Nations General Assembly in 2012, the International Day of Happiness recognizes happiness and well-being as universal human goals and aspirations. Celebrated annually in all 193 UN Member States since 2013, the day promotes a more inclusive, equitable, and balanced approach to economic growth—one that prioritizes public well-being alongside financial prosperity.

The Camden celebration will feature local businesses, organizations, and vendors dedicated to promoting positivity, connection, health, and community engagement. Attendees will have the opportunity to support small businesses, learn about local resources, participate in uplifting activities, and connect with others in a joyful and welcoming environment.

The Camden celebration will feel like one big, happy block party—with local shops, community groups, and upbeat vendors all focused on spreading good vibes. Guests can stroll from booth to booth discovering unique small businesses, pick up helpful local resources, jump into feel-good activities, and meet new people in an atmosphere that’s bright, joyful, and welcoming.

The concept of the International Day of Happiness was originally championed by Bhutan, which emphasized Gross National Happiness as a measure of progress. Today, the observance encourages individuals and communities to spread joy through kindness, volunteerism, and meaningful connection.
