Windwood Family Services seeks a bold, visionary Chief Executive Officer to lead the organization through its next phase of growth and impact. This role is mission-critical: the CEO serves as the chief strategist, primary ambassador, and steward of financial sustainability. The ideal leader inspires trust, builds powerful relationships, and is relentlessly focused on expanding resources to meet critical social service needs.

Core Responsibilities

External Relations & Advocacy (Critical Priority)

  • Maintain and grow strong relationships with key state partners and stakeholders

  • Possess deep understanding of — or demonstrated ability to build — relationships with DSS and social services systems

  • Engage with elected officials and understand public funding processes

  • Provide advocacy and lobbying leadership aligned with the organization’s mission

Financial Oversight & Planning

  • Oversee organizational budget with a strong command of forecasting and financial planning

  • Lead long-term revenue strategy and future-focused financial sustainability planning

  • Partner with the Board on financial decision-making and accountability

Strategic Leadership & Vision

  • Serve as the primary ambassador and public face of Windwood Family Services statewide

  • Lead with vision, creativity, and boldness to significantly expand the organization’s mission and impact

  • Drive organizational growth with a clear, aggressive focus on funding and sustainability

  • Inspire trust, credibility, and respect across internal and external stakeholders

Internal Leadership & Management

  • Provide strong leadership to mid-level management and leadership teams

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence

  • Align internal operations with strategic growth goals

Board Partnership

  • Work closely and transparently with the Board of Directors

  • Support and leverage board members in fundraising, strategy, and governance

  • Preferred (but not required): experience working effectively with boards

Required

  • Undergraduate degree

  • 10+ years of relevant experience

  • A strong financial background

Preferred

  • Master’s degree

  • Prior leadership experience

Compensation

  • Salary: $130,000 – $150,000 or commensurate with experience
