The Fox Hole Opens Beneath Moultrie Southern Cuisine in Downtown Laurens
March 9, 2026A new social gathering space is now welcoming guests beneath Moultrie Southern Cuisine in downtown Laurens. The Fox Hole, located on the lower level of the restaurant at 101 East Laurens Street, is now open on weekends, offering a relaxed setting for cocktails and dessert in a bespoke atmosphere.
With its intimate setting and carefully curated ambiance, the lower-level space provides a comfortable place to gather with friends, enjoy a cocktail, and linger over dessert in a relaxed setting. It also offers a welcoming place for guests to begin their evening while waiting for a table upstairs.
Co-owner Sidney Perkins said the goal was to create a space that enhances the overall dining experience at Moultrie, giving guests the opportunity to enjoy a drink before dinner or extend their evening afterward.
“We wanted The Fox Hole to feel like a place where people can slow down and enjoy good conversation,” Perkins said. “It’s the perfect setting for cocktails and dessert—whether you’re finishing your evening after dinner upstairs, meeting friends, or enjoying a drink while waiting for your table.”
For guests who may not have a reservation, The Fox Hole offers a comfortable place to start the evening, making it easy to relax with a cocktail while waiting for a table to open upstairs. Others may choose to make a full night of it, beginning with dinner at Moultrie Southern Cuisine and ending the evening downstairs with drinks and dessert.
Open on weekends, The Fox Hole adds another dimension to the dining experience at Moultrie Southern Cuisine, giving residents and visitors another inviting place to gather in downtown Laurens.
