Cody Simpson Launches “Farmers Coalition” with Support from All 46 Counties
March 10, 2026Cody Simpson, the President Trump-endorsed candidate for South Carolina Commissioner of Agriculture, announced today the launch of the Cody for SC Farmers Coalition – a statewide coalition of farmers, producers, and agricultural leaders supporting Simpson’s campaign to protect South Carolina’s farms, families, and future.
The coalition launches with members representing all 46 counties across South Carolina, demonstrating the broad support Simpson has earned since launching his campaign less than three weeks ago.
A fifth-generation South Carolina farmer, Simpson has spent his life working in agriculture and advocating for farmers at both the state and federal levels. As President Trump’s appointed South Carolina State Executive Director of the USDA Farm Service Agency and as Agriculture Advisor to Governor Henry McMaster, Simpson worked directly with producers across the state to address regulatory burdens, disaster relief, conservation programs, and market opportunities for South Carolina-grown products.
The Cody for SC Farmers Coalition will serve as a grassroots network of agricultural leaders who will help organize support in their communities, share Simpson’s vision for South Carolina agriculture, and ensure that farmers’ voices are heard throughout the campaign.
“South Carolina agriculture is more than an industry – it’s a way of life that supports our economy, feeds our families, and defines our rural communities,” Simpson said. “As a fifth-generation farmer, I understand the challenges our producers face because I have lived them. I’m running with President Trump’s support because South Carolina needs a Commissioner of Agriculture who understands agriculture not only from behind a desk but also from the cab of a tractor and the fields of our great state.”
Simpson said his campaign will focus on strengthening South Carolina’s agricultural economy by supporting the farmers, ranchers, and producers who form the very fabric of our nation, protecting farmland for future generations, expanding markets for South Carolina products, and ensuring government policies support farmers, rather than hinder them.
“Farmers across South Carolina want a Commissioner who understands their challenges, respects their work, and will fight for them every day,” Simpson said. “That’s the leadership I am committed to providing.”
