Steeped in Sunshine: Spring Tea Returns to Rotie at Bridgeway Station
March 11, 2026As the first blossoms peek through the thawing soil, Rotie has officially unveiled its highly anticipated Spring Tea Service. Known for its minimalist elegance and seasonal precision, the celebrated venue is trading the heavy, spiced notes of winter for a menu that feels like a breath of fresh air.
Planning Your Visit
The Spring Tea at Rotie is a limited-time engagement, traditionally running from late March through the end of May. Due to the intimate nature of the seating and the artisanal preparation involved, reservations are highly recommended and often fill up weeks in advance.
-
Availability: Wednesday through Sunday
-
Seatings: 11:30 AM, 1:30 PM, and 3:30 PM
-
Special Features: Optional champagne pairings featuring small-batch growers.
A Symphony of Seasonal Flavors
This year’s curation focuses on the concept of reawakening. The beverage program, led by Rotie’s expert tea sommeliers, highlights rare first-flush Darjeelings and high-mountain Oolongs that mimic the crisp, floral aroma of a garden in bloom.
The culinary pairings follow suit, moving away from dense pastries toward vibrant, botanical-infused bites:
-
Savory: Cucumber and yuzu-mint butter tea sandwiches on house-baked brioche.
-
Scone: Lemon-lavender scones served with a signature whipped honey Devonshire cream.
-
Sweet: Tiny rhubarb tarts and matcha-infused petit fours that provide an earthy balance to the bright fruit notes.
Atmosphere & Aesthetic
The transition isn’t just on the plate. Rotie has reimagined its interior with airy linens and sprawling installations of cherry blossoms and dried wildflowers. The goal is to create an indoor meadow—a sanctuary where guests can escape the erratic spring rain and settle into a slower pace.
Spring at Rotie isn’t just about the tea; it’s about the transition of energy, says the Head of Service. We wanted a menu that feels light enough to lift the spirits but sophisticated enough to honor the tradition of high tea.
