Nominations Still Open for City of Laurens State of the City Awards

With the City of Laurens State of the City Address and Awards Presentation approaching on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, residents still have time to submit nominations recognizing individuals and organizations making a positive impact in the community.

The annual event will feature Mayor Nathan Senn delivering the State of the City Address, highlighting the city’s accomplishments and priorities for the year ahead.

As part of the evening, the City will also present several community awards honoring individuals, businesses, and organizations whose leadership, volunteerism, and service help strengthen Laurens. Awards include the Corporate Citizen Award, Community Spirit Award, Servant Leader Award, and Volunteer of the Year Award.

City officials are encouraging residents to nominate those who make a difference in the community. Nominations can be submitted by email to [email protected].

The annual State of the City event provides an opportunity for residents to hear about the city’s progress while celebrating the people who help make Laurens a stronger community.
