Laurens School District 55 Invites Community Input on Future Facility Needs

March 18, 2026

Laurens County School District 55 is inviting community members, local leaders, businesses, district staff, and families to take part in a series of upcoming Facility Needs Town Hall meetings designed to gather input on the future of school facilities across the district.

As part of its ongoing initiative, Building a 5-Star Culture of Excellence 2.0, the district is seeking feedback from the community on potential renovations, upgrades, and new construction that could benefit students, staff, and the broader community.

The town halls will provide an opportunity for attendees to learn more about the district’s current facility needs, ask questions, and share ideas that could help shape long-term planning efforts.

District leaders say community input is a key part of the process as they work to ensure school facilities continue to support student success and serve as valuable community resources.

Residents are encouraged to attend any of the following sessions:

  • March 19 – District Administrative Office, 9:00 a.m.

  • March 19 – Gray Court-Owings School Auditorium, 6:00 p.m. (new date)

  • March 26 – Waterloo Elementary School Gym, 6:00 p.m.

School officials say the feedback gathered during these sessions will help guide important decisions affecting Laurens County School District 55 for years to come.

Community members interested in the future of local schools are encouraged to attend and share their perspectives as the district continues planning for the next chapter of growth and improvement.
