Blues, Brews, and Local Goods: Fountain Inn Gears Up for 20th Annual Mac Arnold Festival

March 19, 2026

The soulful sounds of the blues are set to return to Main Street as the City of Fountain Inn prepares for the 20th Annual Mac Arnold Cornbread and Collard Greens Blues Festival. Scheduled for Saturday, April 11th, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM, the landmark anniversary celebration is expected to draw thousands of residents and visitors to the heart of the Golden Strip.

While the legendary Dr. Mac Arnold and his Plate Full of Blues remain the headlining draw, this year’s milestone event is placing a renewed emphasis on the “Shop Local” movement. The festival’s footprint will once again transform downtown into a vibrant open-air marketplace, anchored by the popular Spring Market.

A Marketplace for Local Makers

For many attendees, the festival is as much about the shopping as it is about the music. The Spring Market, which runs concurrently with the live performances, serves as a showcase for Upstate artisans, craftsmen, and small business owners.

  • The Vendors: Visitors can expect a diverse array of goods, ranging from handcrafted jewelry and locally sourced honey to original artwork and boutique clothing.

  • Impact of Shopping Local: By prioritizing local vendors, the festival provides a significant economic boost to the Golden Strip. “Supporting these makers ensures that our community’s creative spirit continues to thrive right here in our own backyard,” says one local business advocate.

  • The Spring Market: Located along the main festival corridor, the market allows fans to browse unique finds between sets of world-class blues music.

How to Participate

The festival remains a free, family-friendly event, making it accessible to all residents of Mauldin, Simpsonville, and Fountain Inn.

  • When: Saturday, April 11, 2026

  • Time: 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM

  • Where: Main Street and Commerce Park (110 Depot St.), Fountain Inn

  • Parking: Visitors are encouraged to arrive early, as street parking in the downtown area fills up quickly. Public lots near the Mill at Fountain Inn will also be available.

More Than Just Music

In keeping with tradition, the air will be thick with the aroma of the festival’s namesake dishes. Local restaurants and food trucks will compete to offer the best renditions of cornbread and collard greens, alongside other Southern staples.

The event also features the return of the Jeep Jam, a car show that has become a fan favorite for automotive enthusiasts. With three stages of music and activities for all ages, the 20th anniversary promises to be the largest iteration of the festival to date.

The Mac Arnold Festival continues to serve as a cornerstone of Fountain Inn’s cultural identity, celebrating the deep musical roots of the region while fostering a modern, prosperous environment for local commerce.
