Main Street Laurens Celebrates 30 Years of Community, Growth, and Revitalization
March 25, 2026It was a night filled with gratitude, reflection, and celebration as Main Street Laurens marked a major milestone—30 years of serving and strengthening the downtown community.
Held at the Laurens County Museum, the anniversary celebration brought together community leaders, business owners, supporters, and friends who have played a role in shaping the organization’s impact over the past three decades. The evening served as both a look back at how far Main Street Laurens has come and a reminder of the strong community support that continues to drive its mission forward.
From its early beginnings to today, Main Street Laurens has been at the heart of downtown revitalization—supporting local businesses, hosting events, and creating a vibrant sense of place in the city’s core. That progress was on full display throughout the evening, as attendees gathered to celebrate not just the organization, but the community that made it possible.
Main Street Laurens Director Brad Abercrombie reflected on the milestone, noting the role the community has played every step of the way. “This celebration is really about the people—our business owners, our partners, and everyone who has poured into downtown Laurens over the past 30 years,” Abercrombie said. “We’ve come a long way, but what’s most exciting is where we’re headed next. The momentum we’re seeing right now is something special.”
Organizers expressed appreciation for the many partners who helped make the event memorable. The Laurens County Museum provided a fitting and welcoming venue for the occasion, while Designs by D transformed the space with décor that elevated the celebration. Sponsors, caterers, musicians, and bartenders all contributed to an evening that flowed seamlessly and reflected the spirit of the community.
More than anything, the night was a testament to the people behind Main Street Laurens—those who have supported its mission over the years and those who continue to invest in its future. The milestone marks not just 30 years of progress, but a continued commitment to preserving and growing a thriving downtown Laurens.
For those who attended, it was a meaningful evening of connection and celebration. And for those who missed it, one thing was clear—the story of Main Street Laurens is far from over.
