HGTC to host third annual “Chomp’s Got Talent” competition on March 26
March 25, 2026Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) will host the third annual Chomp’s Got Talent on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. in the Burroughs & Chapin Auditorium on the Conway Campus. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., and admission is free and open to the public.
Hosted by the HGTC Office of Student Engagement, the event invites students, faculty, and staff to take the stage and showcase their talents in a lively and entertaining competition. Named in honor of Chomp, the College’s alligator mascot, the event celebrates creativity, community, and campus spirit.
Following the success of the last two showcases, this year’s competition is expected to draw an even larger audience and an impressive lineup of performers. Contestants will compete in a variety of acts, including singing, dancing, comedy, and other performances, for top prizes.
Prizes will be awarded to the top three performers:
• First Place: $500 Visa gift card and trophy
• Second Place: $250 Visa gift card and trophy
• Third Place: $100 Visa gift card and trophy
“We are excited to bring back Chomp’s Got Talent for its third year,” said Rebecca Kaneiwa, HGTC Director of Student Engagement. “This event creates a fun and supportive environment where students and employees can express themselves, connect with others, and create lasting memories. We encourage the entire community to come out and support our talented performers.”
Judges will help determine the winners, while audience members will have the opportunity to cheer on their favorite acts throughout the evening.
