The Lions Clubs International is one of the world’s largest service organizations, with more than 1.4 million members in over 200 countries. Lions are known for their commitment to improving communities through hands-on service projects, with a strong focus on vision care, hunger relief, disaster response, youth programs, and supporting those in need at the local level.
Organizers say the goal is to establish a local club that will serve Cross Hill and surrounding areas, creating opportunities for residents to come together and make a meaningful impact close to home.
Eddie Marshall, who is helping lead the effort, brings decades of experience with the organization. “I’ve been in the Lions Club 29 years, serving at the local level as club president, and at the state level as a Past District Governor and Past Council Chairperson,” Marshall said. “We’re looking forward to getting this club started and beginning to serve Cross Hill and the surrounding communities. This is a great opportunity for people who want to give back, meet others, and be part of something that truly makes a difference.”
Those interested in attending or learning more are encouraged to come to the meeting or contact Eddie Marshall at 864-200-9797.
Community members of all backgrounds are invited to attend and explore how they can play a role in shaping the future of service in Cross Hill.
