Hood Construction receives national AGC Construction Safety Excellence Award

Hood Construction announced it has received the AGC Construction Safety Excellence Award (CSEA) at the 2026 AGC of America Convention in Orlando, Florida, on March 26, 2026. The company was recognized for placing third in the Building Division for 250,000–650,000 work hours and ranking in the top 1% of general contractors in the nation for safety performance.
Each year, the national AGC Construction Safety Excellence Awards recognize companies that go beyond incident rates to demonstrate excellence in safety culture, training, innovation, and risk management. Participants are required to complete a comprehensive application, judged by members of the national AGC Safety & Health Committee, and selected finalists are then invited to present their safety program at the AGC Annual Convention.

Dean Wilson, Vice President of Construction Management and past Carolinas AGC Chair, along with Kevin Hooker, Director of Safety, attended the AGC Annual Convention and accepted the award on behalf of Hood Construction.
