Buzz Publisher Expands into Golden Strip with New Website and Newsletter Launch

April 22, 2026

Readers of Laurens County Buzz now have a new way to stay connected beyond county lines.

A new digital news source, Golden Strip News, has officially launched both its website and e-newsletter, delivering ongoing coverage of Fountain Inn, Simpsonville, and Mauldin—communities collectively known as the Golden Strip.

Published on the Who’s On The Move platform, Golden Strip News follows the same proven model that Buzz readers have come to know—free, easy-to-access local news available online and delivered directly to your inbox. The platform has been serving communities across South Carolina since 2006, providing a place for local businesses, organizations, and communities to share news and events without paywalls.

The Golden Strip edition expands that reach, offering coverage of community events, local government, schools, business activity, and the people shaping one of the fastest-growing areas in the Upstate.

Brenda Stewart, Publisher of the Laurens County Buzz and Golden Strip News

The initiative is a collaboration between Brenda Stewart, publisher and owner of the Laurens County Buzz, and Alan and Cheryl Cooper, founders of Who’s On The Move. The concept was inspired by the success of the Buzz, which has spent nearly six years delivering positive, community-focused news to Laurens County residents.

“Laurens County readers are connected to the Golden Strip in so many ways—through work, family, and community,” said Stewart. “This is more than just a newsletter—it’s a daily online resource where people can go anytime to see what’s happening, combined with a twice-weekly newsletter that brings the highlights straight to their inbox.”

Like the Buzz, the Golden Strip News is designed to meet readers where they are—online, on their schedule, and at no cost. The website is updated regularly, and the newsletter is delivered on Tuesdays and Thursdays, making it easy to stay informed on what’s happening in neighboring communities.

For Laurens County readers, the expansion offers an opportunity to stay connected to the broader Upstate region—whether it’s following business growth, community events, or simply keeping up with nearby towns where many live, work, and spend time.

Readers can explore Golden Strip News and sign up for the newsletter.

As the Buzz continues its mission of sharing the good news of Laurens County, this new platform extends that same approach—helping readers stay informed, connected, and engaged across the Upstate.
