Fountain Inn Police Department to Participate in National Drug Take Back Day April 25
April 14, 2026The Fountain Inn Police Department is encouraging residents to clean out their medicine cabinets and safely dispose of unused or expired prescription medications during National Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 25.
The local event will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. as part of the nationwide initiative organized by the Drug Enforcement Administration.
Drug Take Back Day provides community members with a safe and responsible way to dispose of unwanted prescription medications while helping reduce the risk of accidental poisoning, overdose, and prescription drug misuse.
Residents are encouraged to gather expired, unused, or unwanted medications from their homes and take advantage of the opportunity to safely dispose of them while helping keep the community safe.
National Drug Take Back Day is held twice each year and has become an important public safety initiative focused on reducing access to potentially dangerous unused medications.
