SOS Care expands Oak Tree Farm community with two new housing buildings
April 13, 2026In honor of Autism Acceptance Month, SOS Care is proud to announce the expansion of Oak Tree Farm, a premier residential community for adults with autism and intellectual disabilities. On Tuesday, April 21, at 3:00 pm, SOS Care will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony to debut two new apartment buildings at 2358 Oak Tree Farm Lane.
The expansion adds 48 new residents to the community, with 24 units per building. This milestone marks a major step in SOS Care’s mission to provide safe, affordable, and independent living options—a critical need as the organization manages a waitlist of nearly 300 individuals.
Building a National Model
Oak Tree Farm was born a decade ago to fill a gap in specialized housing. Since its first transition home opened in 2021, the community has grown rapidly. Residents at Oak Tree Farm don’t just have a place to live; they have access to:
-
Life-skills training and employment opportunities.
-
Community engagement programs that foster independence.
-
A supportive environment designed specifically for neurodivergent adults.
