Riverside Family Dental announces name change reflecting legacy, growth and future vision

Riverside Family Dental, a trusted general dentistry practice serving the Greenville community for more than three decades, announced its official name change from Keith W. Strausbaugh, DMD, PA. The transition reflects both the practice’s deep-rooted legacy and its forward-looking vision as a multi-generational, family-owned dental provider.
Founded in 1992 by Dr. Keith W. Strausbaugh, the practice has built a longstanding reputation for high-quality, relationship-driven dental care. The new name, Riverside Family Dental, signals a natural evolution of the brand as the practice continues to grow, including the recent addition of Dr. Strausbaugh’s son, Dr. Wilson Strausbaugh, who joined the practice in August 2024.
“This transition represents more than a name change, it reflects who we are and where we’re going,” said Dr. Keith Strausbaugh. “We’ve always been a family practice at heart, and Riverside Family Dental allows us to carry that identity forward as we continue to serve Greenville for generations to come.”
Today, Riverside Family Dental operates with a close-knit team of nine, including two dentists, three hygienists, two assistants, and two front office professionals. The practice has cultivated a culture defined by long-tenured team members, low turnover, and a commitment to creating a welcoming, relationship-focused environment that stands in contrast to corporate dental models.
At its core, Riverside Family Dental emphasizes continuity of care, ensuring patients consistently see the same dentist and hygienist, and prioritizes quality over volume by maintaining a thoughtful, unhurried approach to scheduling. This model allows the team to build meaningful relationships with patients while delivering comprehensive, high-level care.
The practice provides a full spectrum of general dentistry services, including preventive care, restorative treatments, crowns and bridges, fillings, cosmetic dentistry, implants, clear aligner therapy, and sleep-related dental solutions. Known for its clinical expertise, Riverside Family Dental completes the vast majority of procedures in-house, including more than 90 percent of root canals and extractions, offering patients the convenience and confidence of a true one-stop dental home.
Dr. Strausbaugh, a Greenville native, graduated from the College of Charleston before completing dental school at the Medical University of South Carolina, where he finished at the top of his class. He later completed a residency at Richland Memorial Hospital and has since pursued advanced training, including at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, placing him among the top tier of esthetic dentists in the country.
Looking ahead, Riverside Family Dental is focused on continued growth and modernization, including expanding cosmetic services, increasing accessibility for younger families, and enhancing its digital presence. The rebranding also positions the practice for long-term scalability as it continues to evolve into a multi-provider model.
The practice will continue operating at its current Greenville location with no changes to staff, services or patient care.
