17th annual Trio Coastal Culinary Experience returns to Myrtle Beach for an evening of exceptional flavors, networking, and entertainment

April 16, 2026

The Myrtle Beach Area Hospitality Association (MBAHA) and the South Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association (SCRLA) announced the return of the 17th Annual Trio Coastal Culinary Experience. This premier event will take place on Monday, April 27, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Sheraton Myrtle Beach.

Trio is a unique culinary mentorship program where the Grand Strand’s top executive chefs join forces with local college and high school students. Together, these “trios” collaborate to create a unique and memorable meal, offering students invaluable real-world experience and a platform to showcase their rising talent to the community.

This year’s participating professional chefs represent an impressive lineup of local favorites, including:

  • Biminis Oyster Bar & Seafood Café
  • Kingston Resorts (featuring Cafe Amalfi and Black Drum Restaurants)
  • Sheraton Myrtle Beach
  • TuTaco
  • Inlet Affairs
  • WaterScapes by Marina Inn Grande Dunes
  • Winna’s Kitchen
  • Caribbean Jerk Cuisine
  • Levé Bakery
  • O.A.K. Prime
  • SOL Cucina Mexicana
  • Beachfront Kitchen & Bar

In addition to the culinary showcases, the evening will feature a high-stakes cocktail competition. Five expert mixologists will compete for the title of “Best Cocktail,” while guests enjoy live musical entertainment provided by The Chocolate Chip Band.

The culinary and cocktail creations will be evaluated by a panel of distinguished local figures, including popular meteorologist Ed Piotrowski, who joins the judging team to help crown the evening’s winners.

“Trio is more than just a dinner; it is a vital investment in the future of South Carolina’s hospitality industry,” said Executive Director of MBAHA, Victoria Tobin. “By pairing seasoned professionals with dedicated students, we are fostering the next generation of culinary leaders while providing an unforgettable experience for our guests.”

A portion of the event’s proceeds will benefit the MBAHA scholarship funds, supporting continued hospitality and culinary education in the region.
