Stage Door Arts Announces Competition Intensive for Young Dancers in Mount Pleasant
April 20, 2026Stage Door Arts is bringing the energy this spring with its upcoming Competition Intensive, a one-day training experience designed for dancers ready to level up their skills in a focused, high-impact environment.
Taking place on May 3, 2026, this intensive is built for dancers ages 7–12 and 12+, offering a full afternoon of technique-driven classes across multiple styles including contemporary, jazz, hip hop, and fusion.
This is not an audition. It is an opportunity.
The Competition Intensive is designed to give dancers a real taste of what it means to train at a higher level, without the pressure of tryouts. Participants will work closely with Stage Door’s experienced instructors, learn new choreography, and push themselves in a supportive, high-energy setting.
Younger dancers (ages 7–11) will train from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, followed by a parent meeting from 3:00–3:30 PM to provide insight into Stage Door’s approach, expectations, and next steps for families interested in deeper involvement.
Older dancers (ages 12+) will attend sessions from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, diving into advanced training designed to challenge and refine their performance skills.
“This intensive is about giving dancers confidence, exposure, and a clear picture of what’s possible,” says the Stage Door team. “We want them to walk out feeling stronger, more inspired, and excited to keep growing.”
Spots are limited and expected to fill quickly.
Registration is now open.
