Disney’s “Moana Jr.” Sets Sail at The Younts Center for Performing Arts
April 22, 2026The spirit of Motunui has arrived in the Upstate as Ignite Theatrical officially launched its production of Disney’s Moana Jr. at The Younts Center for Performing Arts. The highly anticipated musical opened last week and is set to continue its run through May 2, 2026.
The production, which features a talented cast of young local performers, brings the beloved Disney film to life on the Fountain Inn stage with vibrant costumes, island-inspired choreography, and the hit music of Lin-Manuel Miranda.
An Adventure for All Ages
Moana Jr. tells the story of a strong-willed girl who embarks on a daring mission across the Pacific Ocean to save her people. Along the way, she discovers her own identity and fulfills the ancient quest of her ancestors.
The stage adaptation is designed to be accessible for families, offering a condensed version of the theatrical story that maintains the heart and energy of the original film.
“Ignite Theatrical proudly invites you to set sail on an unforgettable adventure,” shared The Younts Center in a recent community announcement.
