Come to Georgetown for the Food, Beer & Wine Festival: Fun for the entire family
April 22, 2026The Georgetown Business Association is pleased to host the 5th Annual Food, Beer & Wine Festival on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm in beautiful downtown Georgetown. The day will feature delicious food from 18 local restaurants, a beer garden, wine tasting, a kids’ zone, area artisans, and live music.
“Whether you’re an individual, couple or a family of five, we have something for everyone and it’s an affordable option with live music, activities for children and delicious food and beverage offerings,” explained Greg Metcalfe, GBA president and owner of SoCo Grille.
Festival Highlights
- The Beer Garden & Wine Tasting: Held at the Maritime Park, featuring 10 local microbreweries and a variety of wine selections ranging from refreshing Rosés to bold reds and popular white wine offerings.
- Token System: The festival utilizes a convenient token system for food and drink purchases, allowing attendees to sample “small plate” options from various restaurant tents.
- Artisans & Shopping: Dozens of local artisans will be on-site selling handmade goods, including jewelry, woodworking, and paintings, while Front Street retailers participate with special Sidewalk Sales.
- Kids’ Zone: A dedicated area for families featuring games, crafts, and interactive activities to keep the younger festival-goers entertained.
- Live Music: For the music lovers, they have three distinct bands: Charleston’s own Dangermuffin will be rocking Front Street with new music, up-and-coming country singer Mary English will perform as will Myrtle Beach’s favorite dance band, Ntranze.

Community Impact
The festival is a volunteer-led effort, with community members and local business owners, including this year’s chair Pete Green, working for months to coordinate logistics.
This year, the festival continues its collaboration with Friendship Place, which serves as the designated charity partner. Through this partnership, the GBA is able to direct proceeds from festival events to support local initiatives such as Friendship Place and other area charities. This commitment ensures the festival gives back to the community it celebrates, reinforcing its impact as both a cultural and philanthropic event.
Since its inception, the festival has grown into a major economic driver for the region, attracting thousands of visitors who stay to enjoy Georgetown’s historic waterfront attractions and neighboring Pawleys Island.
“This is a unique and fun festival set in the backdrop of our beautiful and historic waterfront,” said Metcalfe. “There’s something for everyone, and I encourage you to come check it out!”
