Aptiv Brings $120.8 Million Investment and 277 Jobs to Connexial Center in Gray Court
April 22, 2026Global automotive supplier Aptiv Services US, LLC is the latest company to select the Connexial Center Industrial Park in Gray Court as home, bringing with it a $120.8 million investment and 277 new jobs for Laurens County.
Aptiv, a tier one automotive industry supplier specializing in vehicle architecture and electrification, joins a growing roster of companies at the 600-plus-acre, Class A industrial park located just off I-385.
A Mega-Site Delivering Results
The Connexial Center was developed specifically to attract high-tech manufacturing through a partnership among the Laurens County Development Corporation (LCDC), Laurens Electric Cooperative, Inc. (LEC), and the South Carolina Power Team. That long-term strategy appears to be paying off.
“This is a significant win for Laurens County,” said Matt Stanley, CEO of Laurens Electric Cooperative. “The Connexial Center was specifically developed as a mega-site to attract high-tech manufacturing, and landing a global leader like Aptiv — which focuses on vehicle architecture and electrification — validates that long-term investment.”
Jonathan Coleman, President and CEO of LCDC, echoed that sentiment, pointing to the power of the park’s founding partnership. “The Connexial Center has become one of the prime locations for jobs and investment in Upstate South Carolina,” Coleman said. “The partnership between LEC, the South Carolina Power Team, and the LCDC is a prime example of the exciting things that can be accomplished when organizations collaborate to make a community a great place to live, work, and play.”
More Good News for the Park
Aptiv’s announcement comes on the heels of another development at the Connexial Center. Shamrock Technologies, a global leader in specialty additives that originally announced a Laurens County expansion in 2022, has since deepened that commitment by deciding to relocate its corporate headquarters from New Jersey to its new Connexial Center facility.
Together, the two announcements signal continued momentum for the industrial park and for economic development across Laurens County.
