Denmark Technical College to celebrate 77th commencement ceremony featuring Woody McClain
April 27, 2026Denmark Technical College will celebrate its 77th annual commencement convocation on Saturday, May 2, 2026, recognizing the achievements of the Class of 2026 and marking a pivotal milestone in their academic and professional journeys.
This year’s keynote address will be delivered by Woody McClain, a Charleston, South Carolina native and a dynamic talent in film and television. McClain gained national recognition for his critically acclaimed portrayal of Bobby Brown in BET’s The New Edition Story and The Bobby Brown Story and is also widely known for his role as Cane Tejada in the Starz series Power Book II: Ghost. Expanding beyond acting, he has built an impressive creative portfolio as a writer and producer, developing original content that reflects innovation, entrepreneurship and culturally relevant storytelling.

The 77th annual commencement convocation will be held Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the William L. McDuffie Student Life Center on the Denmark Technical College campus in Denmark, South Carolina.
