A Community Catalyst Sponsorship
This year United Way of Greenville County is proud to welcome GE Vernova as the Community Catalyst Sponsor of HOG Day. GE Vernova is one of United Way’s largest and most long-standing corporate supporters, and their investment goes well beyond a check. Through a unique combination of employee campaign giving, energetic workplace fundraisers and hands-on volunteer leadership, GE Vernova has built a culture of community engagement.
On May 2 alone, more than 200 GE Vernova volunteers will be on the ground at Conestee Nature Preserve, one of HOG Day’s largest single project sites, working to beautify the preserve for the community.
“We are proud to have the support of GE Vernova for this year’s Hands on Greenville Day. What sets them apart is their culture, giving is not a one-time event for them, it is how they operate year-round. That consistency creates a ripple of impact that reaches deep into this community,” says Meghan Barp, President and CEO, United Way of Greenville County.
The Party Starts at 5
After a morning of service, volunteers are invited to keep the celebration going. The official HOG Day after party kicks off at 5:00 PM at District 356 at Fluor Field, with food, drinks, games, family fun and highlights from the day’s projects. At 6:35 PM the party moves into the ballpark for the Greenville Drive vs. the Hub City Spartanburgers. Game tickets are included free for all HOG Day volunteers.
