Laurens County School District 56 Expands Gifted & Talented Program with New Hire
April 29, 2026Laurens County School District 56 has announced the hiring of a second Elementary Gifted & Talented teacher, expanding its commitment to advanced learners at the elementary level.
Mrs. Lander Adams joins the district from Greenwood, S.C., bringing 26 years of experience in gifted education. Her background spans both self-contained gifted programs and pull-out GT models, giving her a well-rounded perspective on serving high-ability students.
Mrs. Adams will join Ms. Hanna Wilson in District 56’s elementary self-contained gifted program at Clinton Elementary, set to launch next school year. The two teachers have already begun meeting and collaborating on plans for the program, signaling a strong start for the expanded initiative.
District 56 officials expressed enthusiasm about the direction of the program and the experience Mrs. Adams brings to the team.
